Sick! :(

ACK! Has it really been a whole month since I've posted?!?!? Bad! Baaaaaaaad! BAD!! I had a great idea for a Thanksgiving post too, but didn't have the energy to actually sit at the computer and type coherently at that point. Oh well, I'll have to use that for Christmas instead. ;)

It's not entirely my bad this time though. I work in Retail (at the Corporate offices though thank goodness!), so of course this is THE BUSIEST TIME OF THE YEAR!!(sung to a jaunty Christmas tune) It started the week before Thanksgiving with me working 12 hour days to get everything ready for Black Friday and Cyber Monday. That was fun. And apparently it kicked my ass so badly that I actually got *gasp!* the FLU! (dum dum dum duuuuuuuuum)

Now this is remarkable because I never get sick. Okay, lemme revise that... I hardly ever get sick. And when I do it's at about 20% of how sick everybody else gets. My roommate is revisiting his breakfast in the bathroom and I'm bitching about a sore throat type thing. But not this time. NO! I not only got the worst flu I've had in at least 10 years, but I was the first person I know to get it. And it has been poopy! Literally and figuratively.

I was out of commission for a week. I think the week after Thanksgiving I only made it in to work for two half days. It was so bad I barely felt like moving from my bed to the couch and back. The only time I even went near my computer was to turn on the Shiba Six feed to soak up some puppy joy (except now there's only three of them). It's amazing how much puppies can make anything better... even the flu. :)

I sucked it up this past Monday and drug my butt to the doctor's office. My doctor wasn't available, so I had to see a substitute doc. She gave me all kinds of goodies. I think I like her better than my doctor. I'm feeling better now, but still have this killer cough that will not go away!

So, that's been my month. Very exciting huh?!? Okay time for some happy...
