New to you

Somehow, as I sit here trying to compose my very first blog post ever {*GASP* really?!? First ever?? Hello! Could you be any more behind the times??} I kind of feel like I'm in some strange virtual AA meeting or something...


Hello. My name is Kat and I've never blogged before...


I have a multitude of reasons I have decided to start blogging. One of the main ones being that I have always been the go-to-girl when it comes to technology related questions. Now, I am the first to admit I'm no tech-geek, but I have always been the one my friends and acquaintances come to for help when they don't understand something new fangled (as one neighbor likes to put it). Hell, when I was six I would go around and reset everyone's VCR clocks on my block after a power outage.

But lately, I've been feeling more and more out of touch. I'm sure part of this stems from the fact that I had my 30th birthday last month - the big milestones ALWAYS help you to realize just how fast the clock is ticking. I've just noticed recently that more and more as I'm reading various Google News articles or the few blogs out there that I really enjoy reading on a constant basis, there are terms flying all about that I have no clue what it means... widget? RSS?? Trackback???

Oh no - I so need to get with it.


And so we come to today, my new blog, and my first post. Kind of like this...


Anyways, I welcome any feedback, tips, tricks, hints, constructive criticism, advice, opinions, theories, hunches, or any other communique you feel like leaving. I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing, so any help is welcome and greatly appreciated.
